Fridays After Five C'ville
Virginia Bucket List #39-Go to Fridays After Five C'ville. We did it! We enjoyed a night on the town and were able to host Davis and Ashley Crosland and their friend, Rita. There were fewer transients tonight. (The unemployment numbers must be going down.)
In the first photo, our kids are taking a bath in the fountain. The second photo the kids are able to express themselves or show off their creative minds. I wrote "I HEART Laron". Of course, the kids erased it before Laron could meet up with us.
We spent a lot of time talking to the missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints. They had a booth helping people find their ancestors. Another awesome night in Virginia!

Grandpa Crosland Visit
Grandpa Crosland went on a business trip to Harrisonburg, VA to learn more about Turkey Growers in the Shenandoah Valley. We were able to meet up with him the first Monday after school ended and had dinner in Charlottesville at Cici's Pizza. The kids felt like Kings at an all-you-can-eat pizza buffet. Later that same week, we drove to Harrisonburg and had dinner at El Charro's. Eating great Mexican food is always at the top of my list. I look for how busy the parking lot looks. If you notice, there are not a lot of Mexicans standing in line at Taco Bell. Enough said. The kids ordered hot dogs and Marchus thought is was funny to eat "French" Fries at a Mexican restaurant.

I caught my second snake!
This snake is bigger than my first one! It is about 10 inches. I don't keep them long enough to give them a name. I found it while weeding the back yard. We thought it was dried up and dead until the kids poked at it long enough for him to move.

Last Day of School 2012!
Last Day of School in Virginia! Charleigh's hand is next to the turtle. I don't remember his name, but he is the size of a quarter. The kids found a very small turtle this week. We let them take care of our adopted turtles for a week and then we need to let him find his Mom. We all need our Mom's especially since we just celebrated Mother's Day.
